01About this policy

This policy applies to getarvora.com and the public demo at demo.getarvora.com, operated by Edgewise Lab Ltd ("Edgewise Lab", "we", "us"). Edgewise Lab is the data controller for the personal data described below.

Family archives hosted by Edgewise Lab have their own privacy notice, available within each archive.

02Information we collect

• Usage data, if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, referral source, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics and Amplitude. Amplitude may also record how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling. The sites contain no forms, so nothing you type is recorded.
• Enquiries: the information you choose to include when you email us.
• Demo map: when you open the map in the demo, your browser connects to Google Maps, which receives technical information such as your IP address.
• Technical data: our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request information to deliver and protect the sites.

03How we use it

• To understand how the sites are used and improve them, based on your consent.
• To operate, secure and maintain the sites, based on our legitimate interests.
• To respond to enquiries and, where relevant, to take steps before entering into a contract with you.

04Cookies

Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie preferences at the foot of each page.

• Consent preference (browser storage): remembers your choice. Essential.
• Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): up to 2 years. Optional.
• Amplitude (AMP_* cookies and browser storage): up to 1 year. Optional.
• Demo language (browser storage): remembers your language in the demo. Essential.

We do not use advertising cookies.

05Sharing your information

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the sites: Google (analytics, maps and email), Amplitude (analytics) and Amazon Web Services (hosting in the United Kingdom). We do not sell personal data.

06International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Such transfers are protected by UK adequacy regulations or by standard contractual clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

07Retention

Analytics data is kept for the period configured in each tool and then deleted or aggregated. Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and for our business records.

08Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to its use, or ask for a copy in a portable format. You may withdraw consent to analytics at any time.

To make a request, contact privacy@getarvora.com. We respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

09Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
